The SAP Basis Plug-In is backward compatible and follows the release and maintenance strategy of the SAP R/3 Plug-In. SAP delivers it together with the SAP R/3 Plug-In. For more information, see SAP Service Marketplace at basis-plug-in → SAP Plug-In → SAP Basis Plug-In → Releases.
However, it is not correct to refer to the SAP NetWeaver and SAP HANA platforms as SAP Basis. Both components are only parts of an SAP Basis architecture (see Structure of SAP Basis).

A possible cause of error is that the appropriate OCS file was not found or the data file could not be opened for writing. An error occurred while transferring a 20K block from the EPS inbox to the /usr/sap/trans/data (UNIX) directory. CANNOT_DISASSEMBLE_D_DATA_FILE: Unable to extract an ADO data file. The reasons are the same as for CANNOT_DISASSEMBLE_R_DATA_FILE. CANNOT_CREATE_COFILE: The cofile could not be created from the corresponding data file. One of the possible causes of error is that adm does not have write permissions for the /usr/sap/trans/cofiles (UNIX) directory.
In these cases, you will quickly get the problem under control with a manual user synchronization. This is because the user synchronization checks which roles are assigned to a user and then assigns the current, matching profile. You can run this user synchronization either manually or (my recommendation!) automatically as a background job:
