Identify Executable Transaction Codes
Standard authorisation
Developer and customizing authorizations represent a great potential danger in productive SAP systems. Here, authorizations must be assigned very restrictively, e.g. only to emergency users. The same applies to RFC connections from a development system to productive systems. Such connections can only be used to a very limited extent.

After all authorizations are maintained, the role must be saved and generated and a user comparison must be performed. However, this should not be a topic here in the article. This can also be done with the transaction PFUD (see comments to the article "SAP BC: Empty user buffer" :-).
Make mass changes in the table log
Before you can start upgrading the suggestion values and roles, you need to consider a few things. SAP Note 1539556 lists all questions and answers about the administration of proposed values. Already at the start of the transaction SU25 you will be alerted in a pop-up window to the SAP notice 440231 (upgrade preparation for the profile generator). This note provides information on recommended revisions for certain SAP base versions and recommendations for additional guidance, which are listed in the Annexe.

The customising objects you have just created are now integrated into your own IMG structure. To do this, open the SIMGH transaction again, call your structure in Change mode, and paste it under the previously created folder by selecting Action > Insert a Level Lower. You should already create a documentation of the same name with the installation of the Customising objects. To do this, select the Create button on the Document tab and write a text to save it and then activate it.

With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you can automate the assignment of roles after a go-live.

You can also find some useful tips from practice on the subject of SAP authorizations on the page www.sap-corner.de.

For details on the technical improvements, see SAP Note 1964997.

As a role developer, you can now select the specific application in the PFCG transaction from the list of web dynpro applications published by the software developers on the Menu tab and enter it in the Role menu.
