Controlling permissions for the SAP NetWeaver Business Client
The second example requires additional permission checks to display certain documents in the FBL*N transactions. This can be achieved by means of the expression and activation of a function block in the BTE, the so-called processes and events. The sample function module BTE for the event 1650 can be found in the FIBF transaction in the area of Publish-&-Subscribe interfaces (Environment > Information System (P/S)). The sample function module is basically used to enrich data in the item display. To do this, he passes the complete record per document line and expects it to be enriched back. This is exactly what we are using.
With the Enhancement Package (EHP) 3 to SAP ERP 6.0, SAP has provided an extension of the eligibility tests in the FIN_GL_CI_1 Business Function, which allows the eligibility objects for profit centres to be tested in FI. You must first enable the FIN_GL_CI_1 Business Function in the Switch Framework (transaction SFW5). After that, you can activate the new functionality in Customising via this path: Finance (new) > Basic Financial Settings (new) > Permissions > Enable Profit Centre Permissions Check.
Maintain permission values using trace evaluations
Use the RSUSR003 standard report (or RSUSR003 transaction) to validate the default users for initial passwords and ensure the security policies associated with those users. You can define and use your own layout on the home page. After the report is executed, you will be presented with an overview of the existing standard users in the different companies. This includes the password status, a lock flag, the reasons for the lock, the number of false logins, the user validity periods and the security policies associated with the users. The security policy appears to help you understand whether these users are subject to special login or password rules.
Because certain types of permissions, such as analysis permissions, for SAP BW, or structural permissions in SAP ERP HCM are not based on SAP permission profiles, these permissions are not displayed or refreshed in the permission buffer. To analyse such eligibility issues, you must therefore use the appropriate tools, such as the HRAUTH transaction for SAP ERP HCM or the RSECADMIN transaction for SAP BW. The same applies to the Organisation Management buffer if you use indirect role mapping. Run the RHWFINDEXRESET report to reset the Organisation Management buffer. A prerequisite for the user buffer to be up-to-date is the correct user matching (green instead of yellow statusabilds on the Users tab).
During go-live, the assignment of necessary authorizations is particularly time-critical. The "Shortcut for SAP systems" application provides functions for this purpose, so that the go-live does not get bogged down because of missing authorizations.
