Role Management
SAP systems: Control user authorizations with a concept
The permissions in the NWBC are handled as well as in the normal SAP Easy Access menu. For example, you can assign transactions and Web Dynpro applications to the individual and collection roles in a defined menu structure in the Role menu. The navigation structure of the NWBC reflects the menu structure and settings of the corresponding PFCG role assigned to the user. The folder structure of the Role menu directly affects the navigation bar that is displayed to the user in the NWBC.

You should then enable the latest version of the hash algorithms by setting the login/password_downwards_compatibility profile parameter to 0. This is required because SAP systems maintain backward compatibility by default. This means that, depending on your base release, either the new hash algorithms will not be used when storing passwords, or additional outdated hash values of passwords will be stored. You should then check to see if there are any old hash values for passwords in your system and delete them if necessary. Use the report CLEANUP_PASSWORD_HASH_VALUES.
Authorization tools - advantages and limitations
Depending on the transaction invoked, the application can be more granular checked by this additional permission check. Therefore, transactions that are called with additional parameters might require more than one authorization object and must be protected programmatically. The following listing shows an example of a permission check that ensures that the logged-in user has the permission to start the SU24 transaction.

Create a function block in the Customer Name Room. You can choose the supplied SAMPLE_INTERFACE_00001650 as the template. For us, it has proven itself, in the name of the new function block, the name BTE and the number of the template (here: 1650).

Assigning a role for a limited period of time is done in seconds with "Shortcut for SAP systems" and allows you to quickly continue your go-live.

This implementation of the BAdIs complements the Business Transaction Event 1650 described in the second example.

Before you make any changes to the default users, you must ensure that they are not used in, for example, RFC connections, background jobs, or interfaces.
