SAP FICO Authorizations
Note the maintenance status of permissions in roles and their impact
Giving permissions to specific functions that are called in SAP CRM through external services requires some preliminary work. Users working in SAP CRM use the SAP CRM Web Client to invoke CRM capabilities. For this to work smoothly, you must assign a CRM business role to the user, which provides all the CRM functionality necessary for the user. If the role should only allow access to certain external services, regardless of the customising (or only to the external services specified in the customising), it becomes a little trickier. All clickable elements in the SAP CRM Web Client, such as area start pages or logical links, are represented by CRM UI components. These UI components are, technically speaking, BSP applications. By clicking on such a component, the user gains access to certain CRM functions. These UI components are represented in the roles as external services. You must explicitly allow access to these UI components through PFCG roles, similar to the permissions for access to specific transactions.
For each area, the connection to other modules is the first priority. For example, for the Controlling division, the connection to the Finance division is first established by connecting the accounting area (FI) to the cost accounting area(s). The assignment of the cost accounting area to the result area is then an internal allocation within the controlling. If no allocations are found for certain valid organisational values, one of the two modules or the relevant functional area shall not be used for the organisational units of the enterprise.

Transaction SE63 allows you to translate a variety of text in the SAP system. You can find the relevant texts for the eligibility roles via the menu path: Translation > ABAP Objects > Short Texts In the pop-up window Object Type Selection that appears, select the S3 ABAP Texts node and select the ACGR Roles sub-point.
Insert SAP Notes 1656965 and 1793961 into your system. With these hints, the report RSUSR_LOCK_USERS is delivered or extended. This report supports automatic selection and blocking of inactive users. To do this, you have to select the criteria in the selection screen of the RSUSR_LOCK_USERS report, according to which you want to lock or invalidate users. You can determine the choice of users by using various criteria. It is recommended to take into account the period since the last login in the Days since last login field and the password status in the Days since password change field. You have the option to check the result of the selection and view the users found. To do this, select the Test of Selection action in the Select Action pane. You can also choose between the User Lock-outs (Local Lock-outs) and User Unlock (Local Lock-outs) actions in this area. You can set the end of a user's validity by clicking the corresponding options for "today" or "yesterday". Note that you can only set the validity for current users.
If you get into the situation that authorizations are required that were not considered in the role concept, "Shortcut for SAP systems" allows you to assign the complete authorization for the respective authorization object.
At www.sap-corner.de you will also find a lot of useful information on the subject of SAP authorizations.
This forces us to think about what the actual requirements of the application are and then describe the possible implementation.
In any case, when using critical permissions, you should observe the principle of restricting rights.
