Security in development systems
In the transaction, select SU10 by login data of users
The use of suggestion values not only brings advantages when creating or maintaining PFCG roles, but also when maintaining permissions as a rework of an upgrade. Furthermore, these values can be used as a basis for risk definitions. Before creating PFCG roles, it is useful to maintain the suggested values for the transactions used. However, you do not need to completely revise all of the suggested values that are delivered by SAP.
We therefore recommend that you schedule a background job on the PFUD transaction, which performs a regular user comparison (see Trick 17, "Schedule PFUD transaction on a regular basis"). By the way, did you know that the auth/tcodes_not_checked profile parameter enables you to disable the transaction startup permissions for the SU53 and SU56 transactions? To do this, enter the value SU53, SU56, or SU53 SU56 for the profile parameter. This means that the end user no longer needs the permissions to run these transaction codes from the S_TCODE authorization object.
Temporarily disable Central User Management
Since the introduction of the security policy in SAP NetWeaver 7.31, this report has changed. In older releases, instead of the security policy overview, a profile parameter selection page is offered in the report's startup screen. If you select Show Profile Parameters in this selection view, you will see an overview of the Profile Parameters settings in the upper half of the screen. Here you should pay particular attention to the setting of the parameter login/no_ automatic_user_sapstar and check its setting even after the switch to the security policy.
Although it is possible to create profiles manually, it is recommended to work with the profile generator. The Profile Generator allows you to automatically create profiles and assign them to user master records. The Profile Generator is used to simplify and speed up user administration and should always be used when setting up authorizations for your employees. The Profile Generator is also used to set up the user menus that appear when users log on to the SAP system.
During go-live, the assignment of necessary authorizations is particularly time-critical. The "Shortcut for SAP systems" application provides functions for this purpose, so that the go-live does not get bogged down because of missing authorizations.
The website www.sap-corner.de offers a lot of useful information about SAP authorizations.
For example, here you can read additional attributes to the new user from an external data source.
If no permission check occurs in your code, the permission concept cannot restrict access.
