Sustainably protect your data treasures with the right authorization management
Over the course of time, many companies experience profound changes in the framework conditions that significantly influence SAP® authorization management. Not uncommon are subsequent requirements from the area of compliance (SOX or similar) or the increased need for protection.
Secure management of access options in the SAP system is essential for any company. This makes it all the more important to analyze and improve the authorizations assigned. This step serves as optimal preparation for your S/4 HANA migration. Managed Services supports central and efficient administration to ensure an optimal overview. In order to sustainably improve your processes, a database provides information on possible optimizations for SAP licenses.
Organisational allocation
The ABAP authorization concept protects transactions, programs and services in SAP systems against unauthorized access. Based on the authorization concept, the administrator assigns authorizations to users that determine which actions a user is allowed to perform in the SAP system after logging on to the system and being authenticated.
Our example role MODELING makes it clear that it is possible to assign different types of privilege to a role. The SAP HANA Studio shows you in the administration interface which user (the so-called grantor) has assigned the respective privilege to this role (granted). By filtering and sorting, you can optimise the appearance of the role content. Depending on the type of privilege, you will be presented with the appropriate details by selecting an entry.
Authorizations can also be assigned via "Shortcut for SAP systems".
At www.sap-corner.de you will also find a lot of useful information on the subject of SAP authorizations.
There are no general definitions of risk; Therefore, each company should define the compliance requirements for itself.
Transports are then used to merge all developments and customising entries into one consolidation system.
